Embark on the premier High Country Tag Along Tour in New Zealand with our unparalleled offering. No other operator offers such excellent accommodation, meals and experiences, making this the tour for adventurers wanting to "rough it in style".

Our tour offers spectacular off-road driving during the day, all main meals including continental breakfast, picnic lunches "on the hill", and delicious main meals in the evening, along with very comfortable high country farm stay lodge, chalet and hotel accommodation at night. Just get yourself to Christchurch and we'll do the rest!

You will be accompanied at all times by your qualified guide, Tony. He's a Kiwi with an intimate knowledge and love of the South Island High Country's geography, geology, flora and fauna, so there's plenty to learn. You get to experience the countryside through the eyes of a Kiwi who has spent countless hours in the mountains. Tony also has a Tourism Degree and a Masters Degree in Wildlife Management from Lincoln University, near Christchurch. 

It's not all about four wheel driving though, with the itinerary including an informative tram tour of Christchurch City on the first day, a 50 min scenic flight over and around the highest mountains and largest glaciers in NZ, a 2 hour jetboat tour up an incredible glacial river valley, and our final dinner overlooking Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu at the Stratosfare Restaurant up the gondola!

You will pick up your fully equipped rental 4WD vehicle (Hilux or similar ute with a lockable canopy) in Christchurch and return it to either Christchurch or Queenstown (QTN incurs an additional $880 fee). Hire vehicles are backed by the assurance of a reputable New Zealand owned hire company.

The tour includes vehicle hire for 12 days, but you can extend your rental if you want to do some extra exploring while you're there. Additional itineraries are available at no cost. Flights to and from Christchurch, diesel (about $300), alcohol, entrees and desserts are not included in the tour cost.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE IN NZ? If you have your own vehicle in NZ, you are welcome to join us. We will amend the tour price accordingly.
